BAHRA: Coaching Skills for HR Professionals

February 20, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

ABOUT THE SESSION:
Human Resource Professionals must learn how to transition from a compliance mindset to a coaching mindset. HR professionals are at risk of becoming non-essential in a workplace culture that is rapidly changing. As HR faces entropy with the automation of transactional practices and outdated practices, HR must transform into becoming a trusted strategic business partner, rather than distrusted. Coaching skills for HR Professionals is an underdeveloped muscle. Developing and using coaching skills will build connection, trust and empower others to accomplish high performance, while developing relationships with colleagues, customers, and team members. Coaching skills are developed when HR Professionals listen well, ask questions, and focus on self-awareness and social awareness. Participants will learn how to shift into a trusted strategic business partner by employing specific coaching skills and using powerful questions.

DURING THIS SESSION, ATTENDEES WILL LEARN:

1. Understand why coaching skills are critical to HR’s success as a strategic business partner
2. Participants will learn how to ask powerful coaching questions of leaders, customers, and stakeholders.
3. Participants will have 5-7 powerful questions they can take back to their workplace.
