IPMA: Mental Wellbeing in the Workplace

December 4, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 10:30 am

Mental Wellbeing in the Workplace

Four Rock Formation

Mental Wellbeing is crucial for HR Professionals. Whether it is identifying and providing assistance to your organization OR making sure we are taking care of ourselves, mental wellness is a hot topic in today’s workplace. It doesn’t stop there either. Mental wellbeing can affect every aspect of our lives so it’s important to arm ourselves with information to help combat this epidemic.

This presentation will focus on the experiences encountered in the EAP service delivery around offering help to people in distress from basic self- care to the complex issues of suicide and substance use. Relevant examples will be shared of how to support and offer tangible help to employees and household members with a variety of needs affecting their emotional & mental wellbeing.  You will learn:

  • How to formulate a roadmap for self-care
  • How to assess level of need and intervention
  • Assessing what services are needed

Please join us as we welcome Patrick Heister with Mines and Associates and Amanda Hollander, Victim Advocate Coordinator with the Town of Parker, as we talk about a full scope approach to mental health issues and mental wellbeing.
