Emerging research finds that fulfillment in work is one of the leading predictors of motivation and engagement and is a result of the experience of meaningfulness and purpose in work. Through a blend of science, practical examples, and skill-building, the “Leading and Working with Purpose” session is designed to equip leaders with the research-backed skills and practices to craft and design organizational cultures which foster a sense of purpose.
The session will:
- Review the science and practice of purpose in leadership and work
- Demonstrate the researched benefits of building organizational purpose in everyday work and leadership approaches
- Show how to connect employees’ work to the common purpose
- Equip leaders with the essential skills to a build and maintain a purposeful work environment in times of stress and change
- Provide tangible experiences that teach the practical skills of:
- Story-telling and story-collecting
- Building emotional commitment
- Connecting the team’s work with purpose through delegation, feedback, and affirmation
- Communicating with purpose
