Building a Fulfilled Organization

Wednesday, May 8, 2019: 11:15am – 1:00pm

Emerging research finds that fulfillment in work is one of the leading predictors of motivation and engagement and is a result of the experience of meaningfulness and purpose in work. Through a blend of science, practical examples, and skill-building, the “Leading and Working with Purpose” session is designed to equip leaders with the research-backed skills and practices to craft and design organizational cultures which foster a sense of purpose. 
 
The session will: 
  1. Review the science and practice of purpose in leadership and work
  2. Demonstrate the researched benefits of building organizational purpose in everyday work and leadership approaches
  3. Show how to connect employees’ work to the common purpose
  4. Equip leaders with the essential skills to a build and maintain a purposeful work environment in times of stress and change
  5. Provide tangible experiences that teach the practical skills of:
  • Story-telling and story-collecting
  • Building emotional commitment 
  • Connecting the team’s work with purpose through delegation, feedback, and affirmation
  • Communicating with purpose

    Price:$25 for NCHRA Members; $35 for non-NCHRA Members
