This course is developed specifically for Early to Mid-Level HR professionals as defined by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and/or those individuals in small businesses who routinely perform HR duties. This course is aligned with the HR Expertise (HR Knowledge) SHRM Competency Model.
By the end of the course, students should know:
- Students will explain what a job analysis is and what it is used for.
- Students will discuss the recent changes to Colorado law and how these changes impact their individual workplace.
- Students will describe who is involved in a job analysis.
- Students will distinguish between various methods of job analysis.
- Students will identify the types of data that need to be collected to conduct a job analysis.
- Students will select a data collection method.
- Students will discuss common errors found in data collection.
- Students will illustrate how job analysis is tied to job descriptions, compensation planning, performance evaluations, and the identification of training needs.
- Students will identify credible resources to assist with job analysis.
