Dean rejoined the Employers Council in May 2017 to represent the interests of the Employers Council and its members on Colorado’s western slope. The Employers Council provides member employers assistance in every aspect of the employment relationship. Dean trains, advises, and represents employers exclusively in all phases of employment law and human resources, specializing in wage and hour, drug and alcohol, and medical issues. Prior to rejoining the Employers Council, Dean clerked for Colorado Court of Appeals Judge Jose D.L. Marquez. Dean worked as an Associate Attorney for Benezra & Culver, LLC, from 2004 to 2006, practicing employment, civil rights, and criminal law. From 2006 to 2010, Dean worked as a Staff Attorney for Mountain States Employers Council in Denver. From 2010 to 2013, Dean worked as a Vice President and Human Resources Regional Manager for Community Banks of Colorado and its successor, NBH Bank, N.A., overseeing human resource and employment law issues for approximately 425 associates in 60 locations in Colorado and California. From 2013 to 2017, Dean worked as an Associate Attorney at Bechtel & Santo in Grand Junction, Colorado, engaging in employment law and business litigation, counseling, and training.
